Region Standard Co. builds websites for bars, restaurants and small businesses in Northwest Indiana, then keeps them running. One person does the work and answers the phone: Justin Offutt, who has spent years behind a bar in Valparaiso and knows what a slow Tuesday looks like from the inside.
Before the bar, years as a master diesel technician. That is where the habit comes from: find what is actually wrong, fix it properly, and tell the owner in plain words what was done. The same goes for websites.
The studio is part of Offutt Works LLC, an Indiana company. Every site is built by hand for the business it belongs to, lives on a domain the owner holds, and comes with a plan for what happens after launch.
